The Housing Stability Collaborative brings together residents, housing professionals, service providers, property owners, advocates, developers, faith communities, public agencies, and community partners to strengthen the systems that help people find, maintain, and return to stable housing.
For housing professionals, service providers, advocates, property owners, skilled volunteers, and community members committed to building stronger housing pathways.
Housing Instability Is Rarely One Problem.
It is often the point where several systems have failed to meet one another.
A person may need emergency shelter today, rental assistance next week, help locating a landlord the following month, and employment or transportation support to remain housed long term.
A family may not need another list of phone numbers.
They may need someone to help them understand which resource applies, what documentation is required, which organization is accepting referrals, and what steps come next.
Fertile Ground Incorporated is building the Housing Stability Collaborative to help close those gaps.
The Collaborative does not exist to duplicate the work of established housing providers. It exists to strengthen coordination, expand community knowledge, improve referral relationships, identify service gaps, and help create more complete pathways from immediate housing crisis to long-term stability.

The needs of every household are different. Some require immediate intervention. Others require navigation, advocacy, income support, or access to a more sustainable housing option.
The Collaborative helps Fertile Ground think across the entire continuum.
1. Immediate Safety
Emergency shelter, crisis response, domestic violence resources, temporary placement, utility or eviction intervention, and urgent stabilization.
2. Navigation and Referral
Needs assessment, documentation support, coordinated referrals, resource education, and connection to appropriate service providers.
3. Housing Retention
Rental support, landlord communication, financial coaching, mediation, benefits navigation, legal resources, and case coordination.
4. Transitional Stability
Time-limited housing, supportive services, workforce connections, household planning, and preparation for independent housing.
5. Long-Term Housing Pathways
Affordable housing, workforce housing, permanent supportive options, homeownership readiness, responsible development, and community-rooted housing solutions.
A resilient housing system should not simply respond to homelessness. It should help prevent instability, support recovery, and create realistic pathways forward.

That means meaningful solutions require people with different kinds of knowledge.
